Fashion Museum – Molly Tondaimann

Molly called herself the Rani of Pudukkottai after she married the Raj of this southern Indian princely state in 1916. The Raj eventually abdicated his throne, becoming immensely wealthy, and he and Molly then spent the rest of their married life in the south of France. In the 1920s and 1930s Molly bought many of her clothes from couturiers in Paris.
